Goodyear Eagle F1 life report

Well, today I had to buy two new front tyres, a year and three weeks after buying a set of four Goodyear F1 GS-D3s in 205/55 VR 16. They were down to the wear bars and I'd had a couple of episodes in the wet that made me realise I was losing my grip even more than is usual.
Life of these front tyres was about 13,000 miles, which is a lot less than I expected - treadwear rating is 400 or something. I used to get twice that from my Pirelli P6000s!
However, the Goodyears are very good in the wet and hang on like glue, so I've gone ahead and bought more Goodyears - the rears are only half worn.
I put a lot of the wear down to agressive driving habits (enjoying the extra cornering power I have, feeding in a lot of power during dry-road cornering and so forth) and to the stiffer, lowered suspension which puts much more load on the outside front tyre. Tread wear (running at 36½ psi all round) was pretty even across the tread area, just slight signs of over-inflation. Alignment was a little off, at 1.5mm toe-in rather than 1.0.
