a probably wider and less expensive selection of tires to choose from.
I have a set of 15" x 6" Saab alloys with 205/60 x 15 Dunlop Graspics on them and these give a good ride, OK dry road handling and work fine in snow. If I bought them I'd probably use 195/65 x 15, but these came with the car. My Aero wheels come off in November.
There are a ton of different opinions on snow tires here. I've found Blizzaks to be better on some cars than others, and think they are merely OK on a Saab. I like the Dunlops and a friend swears by his Michelin Alpins (on RWD 2 Mercedes) after not being happy with Blizzaks. When I wear out the Dunlops I'll probably go to Nokian WRs for better all around use, as most winter driving really is on dry roads and WRs wear better.
