My lead foot (long)....

Just came out of a municipal court to answer a speeding violation.
On Saturday, June 12, I had to go in to the office to pick up something because I was going away for a business trip that afternoon. Coming back home from the office getting off I-78 west on the ramp to I-287 south at 9 AM, my normal commuter route, there was no traffic. On a regular commuting day it would not have been a problem for I would have been following traffic at 65 to 85 mph. The cool morning air and absence of traffic prompted my lead foot into action. Despite the somewhat anemic 94cs, the State trooper clocked me twice going 90. I pleaded with her to no avail. 90 was too fast to be given a break, she said. But she would have no problem if I plead my case in the court to the prosecutor.
To make a long story short, I learned today a 90 mph speeding offense carries a 30 day automatic driving license suspension. But I was lucky the judge who would not normally grant any reprieves for such offense is not at the court today. As a result I got off with 79 mph on 65 and two points through a more lenient judge and prosecutor in the Bridgewater municipal court. But the fine is a whooping $439.
Let those who have the same lead foot as I do be aware driving in the Garden State.
