...but I didn't think that the 3.0 was available in US 9000s.
Otherwise, as with any car built for performance and then driven many miles, the SAAB turbos are going to need maintenance. But between the two, the SAAB 2.3 is better engineered for long-term durability and maintenance than the 2.5 V6, in my very humble opinion.
So I still vote for staying away from the V6 9000 (at least the 2.5).
