The '97 is a pretty nice beast. I assume the CSE is the 4-cylinder, not the V6. In terms of 'more' problems, not really. The CSE has more goodies than your '90 probably has, so check stuff like Memory seat operation, central locking via the button on the center console, operation of the rear fog light (push on-push off, only with lights on), daytime running lights, and rear wiper/washer.
Mechanically the 2.3l is a very nice engine. The biggest difference is the balance shaft. There were soft sprockets back in '91-93, but that was cured well before '97. There is no TCS on the 4-cylinder CSE.
Heck, other than checking out the extra goodies, nothing I can think of. Just the usual - make sure the motor mounts are OK, sniff the heater core, and check out the automatic closely.
I've just replaced an '88 9000T with a '97 CSE, both automatics. I've got a '92 (non-turbo) in the middle for reference. I've just been going thru the '97 to make sure all is sorted out. The amount of similar stuff is amazing. Minor differences, like the location of the windshield washer bottle, and the shape of the intake manifold. Nothing big. Frankly, the newer cars are better sorted out, and many of the issues addressed.
