Taurus SHO vs. my 9kt

Hey Folks
First- thanks to everyone on the board and the hosts- this has been an EXTREMELY valuable source of info in the Saab that has kept me out of the poorhouse.
My humble question to the gods of Saab:
I've got a 91 turbo 5-speed (out of commission due to turbo failure) and an 86 9kt. Friend of mine has a '91 Taurus SHO. We've got to talking about our cars, and there have been a few disputes to be settled. I was wondering if I could clear a few up here first. (before we hit the airfield!)
1. The Saab is more high maintenance than the SHO. He insists that I will spend more on my Saab per year than he does. Because I've only had the Saab for a bit, I can't really predict what it will cost me. I know it all depends on HOW you take care of the car, but overall, I have the feeling that the SHO is far more expensive. (just perusing their website)Could be wrong- anyone ever owned one?
2. His car will eat my 86t for lunch. I know the 91 would run him a good lap, but how would my 86 fare? The car and driver stats for the SHO place it at 1/4 around 15.1...can't really find any for the pre 2.3 turbos.
We're going to test this out on Saturday, but I figured I'd see if there was anyone with some SHO experience.
Thanks in advance!
Finn
PS- we're both at the handicap of having sub-par transmissions to handle the above-par torque!
