...did you feel anything in terms of limp-home mode?

I'm less familiar with the TCS systems from '95 on. My '93 Aero has the dreaded TCS, of course, but it didn't come with the on/off button. I installed one -- when you deactivate the TCS, the TCS CNTL red light comes on in my instrument cluster (it's supposed to). I didn't even realize that they switched the indicator to TCS OFF on '95 cars.

So drive your car and see how it goes. As you discovered, you can turn off the ignition and restart, which on '95 TCS cars clears more error codes than on my '93 (lucky you!).
