I meant to ask questions about the two lines from the auto box to the radiator after looking at the engine bay. They do need to be plugged. I have never owned a 9k with auto trans before. Is coolant used to cool the transmission?
You are talking about the itermediate shaft. I am quite certain the shaft is the same for both auto and 5 speed. I broke two of them, at $150 each and 1,000 miles apart. The first one left me stranded 500 miles from home and the car was flat bedded back to New Jersey. It broke because I did not know the rear engine mount bracket is different between auto and 5 speed. The replacement engine I put in for my 94cs n/a was from one with an auto box. I learned they are different only after the second one went.
I want to replace the complete pedal assembly, brake and clutch. I guess that means removing the instrument cluster. Is it difficult to do?
late October is really not a good time to start a project like this. Winter will soon come. This project car will take up the bay wife's 94 cs turbo parks. She will not be happy having to scrape the windshield in the morning. I will have to give up my spot to park outside.
