I posted the following message last week on the TCS problems. http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/bb/9000/index.html?bID=189982
Finally took it to a friend of mine that had a Tech2 he found a code saying that the pedal potentiometer was the culprit and was switched off. He reset and erased the stored code and calibrated it but it still went into limp home mode afterwards. I drove it home and cleaned the gold contacts, plugged it back in still went in to LHM. Finally, I replaced it from a parts car I have, plugged it in and it ran perfectly, idle was rough initially but smoothed out and has been running fine ever since.
I opened up the old potentiometer and found that the arm of a contact inside had broken off causing it to fail. I noticed with my Saab software that the potentiometer's part number is different. I have a manual the replacement came from an auto. It works fine didn't even recalibrate it, but will do so when I get a chance.
