Thanks for your responses. I went to the dealer and they reset the code for ma again. In addition to the familiar 25321 there was another one stored too. An intermittent internal fault in the controller. I was foolish enough not write the code down.

The guys at the dealer told me stories about different ghosts and how they had chased them. Some Chrysler Neon models have been prone to set a code during cold weather startup because low battery voltage. Some of them have even deployed the air bags (!).... Some Citroen C5 models have had same problems with the wiring harness under the passenger seat (detected out of spec resistance during cranking).

The (Saab) system measures the resistance of the front sensor loops (not just check continuonity) and if not within spec the code will be stored. They also told me that for the new gen 93 sports sedan "some people (!)" recommend not to start the car before the SRS system has performed the self check routine. This is because the low starting voltage might mix the self test results (resistances). My codes have allways been triggered during first startup in the morning (cold engine, potentially lowest cranking voltage).

So, from now on, I will wait untill the SRS light goes out before starting the car. Every time. Why don't you all do the same (after resetting the codes) and we might get the gremlin ? It could be high resistances somewhere along the power feed to the system or grounding.

Regards,

Tapani
