that they look so bland. You look at something like a Chevy Impala SS. It has a tweaked suspension and a Corvette engine and runs real good, but to the average observer looks like any old Impala, the only real visual cues being the bigger wheels and tires. Same for the Taurus SHO or Chrysler 300M or Magnum And the "sport trucks" are not sleepers to me. You know, from the decals if nothing else, that they are quick and likely to be driven by people who have no idea how unstable a truck is at high speed.
What is so satisfying about a 9000 is that they are stylish but really don't stand out from the crowd at all. They are "just" a nice European luxury sedan with a little engine. Then you put that motor on someone and they wonder what happened. And you grin. Thank Saab for turbos!
