Those were probably some fun rides! And a Rochester 4 bbl! You are dating yourself, ya know! Interesting switch from a 300 ZX to a Saab 9K.

I've always been a four cylinder guy, but usually did a 'few things" for a little more poke. And always played with the suspension, too. After all, you don't necessarily need a lot of motor if the handling is better, and I never cared much about just straight line acceleration. A bunch of autocrossing made the tweaks worthwhile 'cuz I could use what I did someplace other than the street.

The 2.3 turbo is part of what makes the 9K so great. I was on a biz trip a few months back and a guy I was with was telling me how great his supercharged Pontiac something or other was. I noted that I had a Saab 9K turbo. He starts going on about how fast turbo Saabs are and how the turbo makes the car feel like it has a V8. But he wouldn't buy one--because it is "only a 4 cylinder." Ego? Bragging rights? Go figure.
