Head gasket rplcd by competent Saab mech 20K ago. Head was machined and bolts retorqued after a couple hundred miles. All was well. Now symptoms point to blown gasket and I would appreciate comment by my virtual buddies. DO NOT HAVE water in the oil...but OIL IN THE WATER. Raising rpm above idle causes coolant to gently overflow from res. First indication was overheat and resultant loss of coolant. Actually, first indication was call from 17 yr old reporting steam from engine bay. When I examined, found coolant on trans and generally driver's side of engine comp. Intend to warm it up and see if coolant spews from engine or, quite hopefully, somewhere else. I did the tear down last time and the mech reassymbled. I'm commited to doing the job start to finish but reconnecting the timing chain has me apprehensive. Anyone know a competant DIY mech near Santa Rosa CA who might assist in trade for CH$. Thanks..I love you guys!
