gauge is showing empty--then it shows Zero. When the gauge comes up, so does the Miles to Empty--so your note makes sense. It always comes up, so my guess is I have a slightly flaky connection back at the sender that the ECU is having trouble reading.

My driveway is a slope, so the back end of the car is always low--and the gauge reads lower than actual anyway. When the car is level it comes back up. But the past few days, it has shown empty even though it has plenty of gas. It comes back up in 2-3 miles, sometimes less. The EDU miles to empty seems to move first, but I haven't watched closely.

If I park on the flat for a while, the gauge still seems to stick, then goes back to where it is supposed to be--sometimes it almost snaps back.

Will see what it does next time I fill up. Won't be for a few days, as I have to get on a plane again this weekend.

In the meantime, ideas are welcome! Thanks, Ari.
