Ohhhh boy, well to convert from non-tcs can be hairy.. I've done it a number of ways.. its simple really, first time.. i got an ecu from a donor that was non-tcs and ran lines for the tps, and aic valve and a few other's i believe.. ( its been a while since i've done this) other's i have changed the entire harness ( thanks to the easy threaded plug in the false firewall ). Also if you replace the trans, its kick-down cable ( detent cable) is controlled automatically and can be jacked up if you dont' put it back correctly. I've done both 5sp. and auto. something else is If i remember correctly on the 93' (which was a split year, body style change and ecu's as well) You can install a switch to the ecu that basicaly fools it into thinking that the brakes are being applied all the time, and when the brakes are applied all tcs rules go out the window. I don't recall if that is the same on the LH ecu's w/in the abs control.. I'll check on that for ya. So i've done this before too.. many differnt' ways to do it. best i would say is to do a total swap ecu and harness from a donor.. its easiest and less problematic. I leave all the other tcs stuff on the car, just disable it incase i need it for future reference.. I can dig up more of my notes on this if you need. Also invest in some wiring diagrams they will help ya out tremedously.. its not that big of a beast to conquer, but once you do.. its a piece of cake, just gotta understand it.
