I wouldn't worry too much about rust on the exterior of your exhaust. How bad is the rust, wire brush or steel wool? On the bad side, if you were to try and wire brush the rust and went through all the way, well perhaps it was time to replace anyway. I have been told in past that these parts usually rust from the inside out. If it is the decorative piece that covers the exhaust tip there is another posting "94 9000 AERO..."about 20 lines down, check it out.

Of course you might at the same time look at yourself and your own actions....Hiding behind cars! (takes me back to my early/mid teens, except I didn't own a car to hide behind). Either realize that you don't trust her and move on or decide that the relationship is stable enough and worth it to you to work through these issues. Further, realize that she may not see things the same way, whichever you decide. Of course if she is hiding from you and you are hiding from her you're both kidding yourselves. Cheers!
