When the engine is off, the clutch pedal feels perfect, and the gears shift smoothly.
When the engine is running, the clutch pedal is firm, when it depresses it goes into gear easily, BUT...
The pedal doesn't come back up, there's resistance, it's sticking to the floor.
If you depress it and let your foot off, it stays and then slowly slowly comes back up to a nice firm pedal.
The new release bearing, i assume, is whining when I depress the clutch pedal. The old bearing, worn, did not whine. The new bearing seemed fine when I installed it.
Could the new bearing be sticking on those little fingers??
Should I hold the clutch pedal down and just let it whine itself out??
I don't think it's bearing noise, if I had to guess, the outside of the bearing is whining against the fingers, is this possible??
Thanks for any help, I hoped the slave job would be smooth, but there's a reason it's called slave, I'm now enslaved...
