91 9000 2.3L non-turbo.
This car was not running when I bought it. After replacing the transmission, we're trying to reconnect everything. I can't seem to find the connector to the DI cassette. (I have no way of contacting the previous owner who did some work on the car himself.)
I do have a 92 9000 to refer to, but things aren't quite the same, so I can't easily figure out what's missing.
A summary:
- There's no white connector that plugs into the DI cassette.
- I can't find cut wires anywhere.
- There are a total of four "4-position" connectors near the battery and two of the four have "lugs" that slide into the battery holder.
Connector 1: Red, Black, Green w/Red Stripe; with lugs; comes from behind motor under intake manifold
Connector 2: Blue, Green, Gray, Orange; with lugs; comes from firewall behind battery
Connector 3: Yellow, Black, Brown, Red w/Gray Stripe; no lugs; comes from firewall behind battery
Connector 4: Red, Black, Green w/Red Stripe; no lugs; comes from firewall behind battery
At this point, I can only suspect that the white DI connector was cut off of the wiring harness. Or, perhaps the P.O. replaced the orginial DI with intergrated wires, never got rid of the extra connectors, and "forgot" to include the DI harness with the sale? Or, the 3-wire connectors mate and are for something unrelated to DI and I am missing the DI harness?
I have more pictures if helpful.
