you got it man... so... you got the right one then... just put it in and get on with your life...
i don't think 6 degrees C would make that much difference in things...
but i think for me there are a lot of other reasons why i want the 82 degree thermostat than the 89...
I've done a lot of performance work to my engine... and i'm constantly "beating on it"... driving it hard.
Obviously that creats a lot of heat... and i want to get rid of it faster than keep it around...
not to mention when i had these installed, i was living in florida... and in the middle of summer, when they report on the weather channel it's going to be a day of 100+ F temps... and i've got a lot of driving to do...
i wanted the 82 t-stat...
cause in traffic down there, hot cars spewing hot exhaust, on sun soaked pavement, it's pretty friggin hot...
the last thing i wanted to do was overheat my new engine...
that's actually still the last thing i want to do to my engine... and i've since moved to new york.
well, i'm officially beating a dead horse...
enjoy your new thermostat.
next time you see someone dialing their t-stat up to 30 so it "warms up faster"... as them if mars is hot, because it's red.
:)
