Records, records, records Posted by Ari [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: What about a 97 9000 CS Turbo?, Robbo, Fri, 3 Dec 2004 19:30:07 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
That's not a bad price, IF you know and can prove the car has been well maintained. I paid a little more than that for a '97CSE, but it's a CSE. Properly maintained, these are great cars, and should last a whole lot longer.
Things to think about are belts and pulleys. It's nice to replace the idler and tensioner pulleys at 60-70K miles. It would be nice to know if they are original, and if not, when they were replaced. And budget for extras. The car I picked up had complete records, and the owner had done every service in the book, on time. That didn't prevent me from replacing the pulleys and belts, new front pads & rotors, and upper motor mounts. And I suspect the new batter put in two years ago will be replaced shortly. Niggly stuff, but it adds up. Much, much cheaper than new.
Good luck!
