I am the original owner of a 1991 9000 which has accumulated 200,503 miles. On 10/16/98, at 101,761 miles, I replaced the original heater core with the later style P/N 74-96-441 unit that has fittings for direct attachment to the heater hoses. The adapter kit supplied with this unit extended the existing heater hoses. This heater core and the one it replaced both have plastic tanks. Now this replacement unit is leaking.
Eeuroparts offers the style that was installed when my car was manufactured, the P/N 96-20-238 VALEO unit for $52.04. They also offer the P/N 50-46-362 all metal heater core for $260.08. Since I have gotten 100,000 miles on each heater core I would like to use the cheaper unit. The problem is that I no longer have the "H" pipe that connects the heater hoses to the P/N 96-20-238 VALEO.
Can anybody help me get the "H" pipe? Any other suggestions?
