some weeks ago asking anyone here using Pirelli P Zero Nero M+S tires and got no answer.

Well, I went out and got four of them yesterday as the Dunlop SP5000s were down to the wear bars. They weren't going to last through another winter. Yes, the Dunlops wear out much faster than whatever miles they are suppose to last, a common problem with the so-called ultra high performance all(a.k.a no) season tires. However, the SP5000s have been great on the 9000, even in light snow when they were newer. Also the Dunlops have been quiet, even when worn.

I had P7000 SuperSports before the Dunlops and was not happy with the amount of noise when they start to wear. The noise was so bad I thought my transmission or some bearings were going.

The Neros are noisier than the Dunlops when new, but maybe the noise level would go down a bit. I hope they don't get as loud as the P7000s, if so, the Neros might be the last Pirelli I get for the 9000s.

I got the tires at Euro-Tire in Fairfield NJ (for those of us living in NJ). Their prices are about the same as TireRack, I paid $143 per tire inclusive of everything (i.e. mounting, balancing, valve stem etc.) plus NJ sales tax and $1.5 per tire for disposal. For comparison, TireRack's price is $101 per tire, if I include shipping, mounting, balancing at a TireRack installation place in NJ, the difference would be the sales tax.

For anyone who lives in NJ, I recommend Euro-Tire for tire needs. They use torque wrenches for mounting and you can make service appointments and they are pretty good on keeping the time. Their waiting room is one floor up from the shop and they have large floor windows and you can see your car being worked on.
