are not really worn but just close to the wear bars. I don't do much spirited driving either, I can imagine someone can wear out the Dunlops in 15K miles or so. If it is sprinig or summer, I would have kept them on for a few more months.
I would guess TireRack's rating changes with newer tires. The SP5000s are still highly rated but just not as high as the newer and probably more profitable tires.
I really don't have any problem with the SP5000s, I would gladly put 4 new Dunlops on instead of the P Zero Neros. As I mentioned in my post, I doubt any of these so-called ultra high performance all season tires would last anywhere even close to the advertised wear ratings. Oh, I like the P Zero Neros because they are non-directional just like the SP5000s so I can swap them from side to side easily if need be.
Yes, even 16" wheels are small by today's standard 8-(.
