Crank shaft position sensor (CKP sensor) would be my first guess if the car restarts all the time after about 15-20 minutes or even quicker if the hood is opened and the engine is allowed to cool down quicker.
That sensor is notorious for being heat sensitive when nearing its end of life span.
Very rarely does the bad sensor trigger a fault code even though it is a fault code just for that problem.
What they need to do is to run the car as hot as possible and park it in the shop with hood closed and on idle for awhile and then measure the resistance of the CKP sensor and compare to values in the shop manual.
If the sensor has a lot higher readings than it should, it is bad. I don't have the nominell value in my head for that specific sensor since they differ between years and models. Some sensors have around 600 Ohm and others around 900 Ohm of resistance so you need to know the one on your car.
If the reading is several 100s over the nominell value or even 1000s than it is bad.
