I really doubt that the DI cassette was damaged. In the on position and engine not running, no hi-voltage spark is produced and no current is flowing through the DI circuits. The hesitation you noticed could be as result from the battery discharging overnight or some change in the ECU because of the long on position. I found that on my '94 CSE, disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes to refresh the ECU cures a lot of unexplaind running or accelerating problems.
