wrecked 94cs n/a 5 speed..

Please tell me I am not getting ahead of myself. This is regarding my 94 cs n/a 5 speed wrecked on December 2, 2004 in an accident.
The police report indicated no charge on me. There is an "improper left turn" on the other party, however. I am called as a witness in the case of the State vs. the other party. The other party also accused me of "improper passing", which he has to make it stand in court. I feel my chance is much better after talking to the police officer about the situation.
His insurance authorized collision shop has looked at the car and declared it totaled. That was three weeks ago. Last week, his insurance call me to deny my claim. My insurance was not involved at all because I have liability only. I intend to pursue it to get compensation, either by going after the other party or his insurance I don't know which, after my court day. Hopefully I can convince the judge to dismiss the other party's charge against me, with the township police officer as a witness.
Meanwhile I am ready to take the wrecked cs apart. Wife said I should not touch it until the court day which is the 25th. Many photos have been taken of the wreck.
