I've been a loyal maintenance customer at Mid America Saab for 10 years. Took my 1992 9000 in yesterday to have them look at an anti lock brake problem. I had an appointment, and had described the problem on the phone, and told them which of my two Saabs it was.

When I arrived, before 8:00 AM (after a drive of almost 80 miles), the mechanic told me (rather rudely too) to go somewhere else, he probably couldn't fix it anyway. He said Mid America is going out of business anyway, so they don't want my business.

Later that morning, after I had time to cool off I called and talked to the manager. He said the dealership would soon be moving to St Peters. Said he was sorry, but offered no solution other that pointing out that West County Saab might be able to help me with maintenance until they get their new place open in St Peters. No way am I going to use the new shop in St Peters.

How is West County for maintenance? Is there a competent indy in the St Louis area?

Sorry for the rage, but I needed to vent.
