I decided to go out and pop out the ACC unit and poke around a bit; I backprobed the connector and determined that the blower motor control signal coming out from the blue wire at pin 14 is fully functional, going from 0V to 5V as the blower motor speed setting is changed from the front buttons. So this particular problem is in the motor control unit, not the ACC -
Before I go and fix that, I'd probably make a current draw reading on the blower motor to make sure it's not drawing too much.
Anyway, interesting thing was that when I pulled out the ACC, I heard things rattling around as I moved it- turns out two of the 1.4W bulbs used for backlighting somehow came out of the mounts. Can't imagine how they would work out by themselves if they were put in properly to begin with, but the bulbs look good, so that's another easy fix. I thought they were blown, and I was going to live with it instead of looking for replacement bulbs.
