Ok - help me - anyone ever hear this?

I have an 88 9000T that has been going thru alternators - 3 rebuilts in about a year. I think its due to a recurring PS fluid leak as the pump is right over the alt. At least thats what they said when they told me i needed a new high pressure line and a new PS pump - and then o rings when it kept leaking.

Took it back to the same indy who has fiddled with it when alt # 3 started drifting to 11 volts and dash idiot light glowed -- their new service mgr says PS fluid doesnt hurt alternators ..... Eh???

He said the reason i wasnt getting 14 volts steady is that a fuse in the alternator blew out - when i asked where the alternator fuse was - he said maybe it was in the ignition system.

any comments??
