Three different levels of front and rear struts/shocks Posted by Bill Homer [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: The '98 has complete Aero suspension..., Joe98, Fri, 28 Jan 2005 13:35:00 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I looked in my EPC and found that there are three different levels of front struts (color coded!) out of the factory, which vary in different groups of years, but all the 1994 parts are "NLS" (no longer stocked/supplied?) and have been reduced to two replacement models, one of which is the OEM for the '97 Aero. There were three different rear shocks as well, which has now been reduced to only one replacement model, which may correspond to the later year Aeros (applicability not specified for the '97 in the EPC, but it's the last in the list).
Interestingly enough, my 1994 CS Turbo manual has the basic "orange" struts, despite the fact that it is a turbo. So I imagine that either of the replacement struts would be an upgrade.
If Konis weren't such a pain to install, perhaps I'd consider them for their adjustability.
