The MPG reading on my 93 CSE was off about 10-15%. Dealer said it couldn't be adjusted. However, I later did find the instructions (from SAAB manual) on how to do it. I guess the dealer just didn't want to do it under warranty.
The instructions are a little dated but I do remember that you need the ISAT tool to adjust the reading. The owner (you) need to keep track of several tanks of gas with actual MPG and indicated MPG. Based upon these differences, the dealer has to figure out how much to adjust the display reading.
If someone wants, I will try and find the pages and scan them in.
