I was perplexed by the post because he said the hazard lights didn't come on, and then in the second part he said it did-
Then I realized it was just quoting what I found in my case- :D
If you don't get the hazard lights coming on as you crank, then possibilities include the CPS, the system relay, the fuel pump relay, and the control signals from the ECU. I would suppose the CPS is the likeliest candidate if it's got the warm start issues, because it tends to be temperature sensitive. If it's not putting out the correct signal, the ECU won't close the relays for the fuel pump, as a safety. Rationale being, no need to power up the fuel pump if the car's not running.
Actually, though, I think you said the car does run when you jumper the fuel pump directly, so that would rule out the CPS. Then you'd have to move on to the relays and their control signals.
