What I'm wondering here is if the wastegate could be getting stuck open. As I said in my first post, I'll get a couple of good boosts and then nothing for a while. Could there be a buildup of "gunk" on it that's getting it stuck? Can this be cleaned or lubed?
The actuater itself seems like it's probably okay. It moves (with some resistance) when I push/pull it manually.
Even though the BPC has been replaced, and the new one tested by two different mechanics, I am going to hook up my pressure gage to the wastegate outlet and see what pressures are coming off of this. Any idea what numbers I should be looking for? Thanks.
