OBD-II is supposed to be a standard system, so this tool should work on ANY 1996+ car - perhaps someone else has different information. Many states now do "air quality" (pollution) testing by plugging into the OBD-II connector, query the system - I would imagine that has to be a fairly standard interface.
From the picture, however, it does not appear as if this tool has any buttons to reset a Check Engine Light, which seems to be required on an annual basis on my other 1996 car (typical fault detected is an oxygen sensor malfunction - reset the fault and it goes away for ~ 1 year). I believe that OBD-II fault codes are not supposed to clear themselves as they do on earlier systems - does yours reset itself???
