In case the draw is not that great, especially if it takes two days to drain down the battery, use a smaller bulb, like a courtesy light bulb or dash indicator light. You might not be able to see the headlamp light if it's a relatively small parasitic draw.
If you have one, an ammeter would be another way to check. It'd be much more sensitive and may be easier to deal with in the daylight. The bulb method is safer to start with though, since you don't have to worry about exceeding the current range on the meter.
Some cars require a momentary current surge to charge up filter caps and such, so if you do try using a meter, it should be done by connecting up the meter leads to the battery post and terminal while they're still connected, then disconnecting the terminal from the post.
