Sounds like a real money pit- yet from what youve said you havent thrown too much cash at it. What is it about the car that you enjoy? For me, the first thing is the car has to look nice. Good cosmetic condition, etc. Otherwise it is just a daily driver and there are much cheaper machines out there you could be driving besides a Saab. So if it has a dent, I would want that fixed. Then there are the myriad technical problems you pointed out. Any car that old is going to have those issues. Perhaps they have been fixed by a previous owner as they occured or they have been accumulating like in your situation. What I just want to say is that youre not going to get the money back that you put into the car. No one is going to appreciate the repairs as much as you, and if you arent completely happy then you are better off not even starting to fix that whole list of problems. Unless youre in a tight spot with money I would suggest finding a newer one in better condition. Get what you can for the old one- should be worth at least a couple thousand. Then find a nicer new one that has fewer issues.
