with the rubber hose. Once all fluid come out at the caliper nipple, I used a small torch to dry the area around the leak, paper sand it, brake cleaner spray and repeated same procedure twice. Line dry and shiny. Filled a 2" long piece of clear hose tube with JBWeld and fitted the tube around the steel line, then fitted a larger tube filled with JBW on the smaller tube. Hair dry blower for 30 min. Filled with Valvoline synth fluid. Brake good... but for how long ? In the meantime I called stealer, no such steel line in the whole country of Canada. Go to a mechanic he said, should be able to make a line for you.
I see that the line goes into the master cylinder in the engine bay. How hard is it to remove and replace ?
Andy no explosion to report... was very careful, surounded the line with a sheetmetal.
Thank you all!
