You may have pad-material deposits on the rotors.

Cross-drilled rotors are a bad idea anyway.
I personally like the OE Textar pads for street use, I've even run Laguna Seca on them with no particular fading or boiling problems. I've got the PBR/Axxis Metal Master pads in the car right now and they work well enough but are perhaps a little higher Cf (grabbier) than the Textars.
