You can use the 'universal' design, or you can do what I did: get a 'standard' late 80s/early '90s Ford 3-wire sensor (Bosch 13942 - it's exactly the same sensor as the Saab part, just has a 10in pigtail with a Ford connector on it), snip a mating Ford barrel connector off a Taurus, Escort, or Mustang at the junkyard, then cut the wire off the original Saab sensor and splice the Ford connector on the end of the wire.
Not only are the Ford sensors cheap (sometimes as low as $30) but it leaves you with a good-quality weathersealed connector in an accessible location so that future changes are painless.
