'97 CSE, Automatic. I just installed 16" wheels and Pirelli P6000SV tires, but may go to a different tire if I decide I don't like 'em within 30 days.
I'm trying to sort out a sensible path for suspension upgrades. I really don't care to dump a ton of money in parts or labor into the car, else I'd buy a new car that handles well and not mess with it. I've read the previous postings on this subject on this forum and can use some help, here...
1. What to upgrade first?
- SAS says front and rear sway bars. Scanwest (Abbott) says rear sway bar upgrade + front strut tower brace.
- Will I notice a difference with one method over the other?
- If I go the Abbott route, should I also install the urethane sway bar bushings?
- Is the SAS rear bar a nightmare to install?
2. How about shocks and springs. I don't mind a sporty ride, but I do not want this thing to drive like a truck. I have an F250 Diesel for that.
- Koni's or Bilstein's?
- Springs? If so which one's?
3. Urethane transmsission mount? My Indy already installed a urethane upper motor mount and the engine vibration is rether unpleasant. I may have the stock moun installed instead.
4. Urethane control arm bushings? What's involved with the installation and is it worthwhile?
TIA.
