The links provided by Colin is the best I've found on the topic.
Found the following mineral-based multipurpose oil intended for both engine, gearboxes and hydraulic system of tractors. At least on paper, it fulfils the original SAAB 9000 requirements (mineral oil 10W30, API SF or SG). In addition, it fulfils GL-4. This oil is sold by VALTRA here in Finland, but I think most oil companies have similar types of oil.
VALTRA SUPER 10W-30,
API CE / SF, API GL-4, CCMC D4
Tiheys 15 °C 0.88
Leimahduspiste °C 190
Viskositeetti cSt/40 °C 66
Viskositeetti cSt/100 °C 10.7
Vi 151
Pumpattavuus -31
Kaadettavuus -36
I had the old oil syphoned out yesterday, and topped up with the above oil.
At least until now it works at least as good as before.
Will post info here if it gives me problems later.
