My 89s with 237k has solid lowers, 1 poly upper, oem dogbone, and poly transmission. It shifts beautifully. There is some vibration but it's not that objectionable now that things have broken in a bit. I drove 450 miles today and I feel it in my hands somewhat. My 88T with 160k has hydraulic lowers with limiter mods, oem uppers, and poly transmission. Zero vibration but doesn't shift quite as nicely as the 89. Haven't taken it on a long trip yet.
One thing I noticed with both cars is the transmission is raised by the poly mount, and gear noise becomes more audible. Both had shaky down pipes that failed soon after the switch. I think the flex joints take a set and don't like being jacked or the new position they have to take on.
