lights can easily be adjusted manually, motors are not required and are not used in the initial aiming process. the manual adjusters on the e-code lights are better designed than the ones on our DOT headlamps.
the e-code headlamps use H-1 lamps for both low and hi beams ( they are included with the headlamp fixture) and replacements are readily available at any auto supply store. these headlamps also come with the internal marker lamps (which many of us don't replace in our DOT instruments when they burn out. when i bought my car i didn't even know they were there).
in any case the wattage is the same as your current low beam bulbs, but, for some reason they produce more lumens(light) than your current ones, especially at low beam. your current hi beam lamps are probably 5 watts higher in current draw and produce slightly more light than the H-1 bulb does. still, since i rarely get to use my hi beams,i don't consider this to be a problem. i can't tell the difference on hi beam anyway so, it's a trade off i can easily live with.
