Salutations:
I'm here in Halifax Nova Scotia Canada - although I gather Salt Lake is also a wonderful city with spectacular views.
I guess what I hoping, given Mrs Dexter J has put her foot down here regarding further expenditure on the car for a while, is that I can open the BPC to try to clean and repair the unit.
This presupposes that the reason it has failed is because it has simply become sooted up enough to block the current across a coil. I wonder this because it seemed to be working properly (although roughly) immediately following a solid spray with brake cleaner - which I assume either floated whatever was in there or made a liquid contact in the unit (I stupidly did not test resistance at that moment as I was only trying to test cruise instead).
I read up on MBC+A last night (which seems to provide some measure of over boost protection) - but I'm not understanding what you would do with the third line from the manifold nor how the engine computer will react to it over time.
Anyone have any pictures of (or links to) a disassembled BPC?
Should I remove the connector from the BPC to avoid damaging the ECU until I figure this out?
