so I did a quick check. Tightened the belt a bit. It did not look glazy. Gave the belt some belt-spay as well after start up. Water level is over the leaden plates in all cells. Voltage reading over battery poles was 12,6 V, dropping to 12,2V whith the engine running, and battery symbol still glowing bright and red. I remember I inspected the commutator rings while changing the VR. They seemed smooth and clean.
