OK i had to replace the master cylinder on my 92 2.3 turbo and obviously had to bleed the system afterwards.
Halfords do sell a pressurized bleed kit it is the ONLY way you can properley bleed the clutch
This kit has a bottle which you fill with fluid this has two tubes one screws onto your resivour the other goes onto the air valve of a tyre (please note this should not have any more than 20psi in it), once this is on and there are no air leaks open the bleed valve 1/4 turn let the fluid run out until not bubbles are seen, shut valve press the clutch pedal a few times and repeat.
Shut bleed valve properley and disconnect the tyre remove the bleed kit and remove excess fluid in your resivour.
After a few pushes the clutch should be fine.
PLease note that master cylinders do fail often and this may be the cause of your problem
