Call Eriksson Industries in Connecicut. They specialize in rebuilding and repairing ZF transmissions, and have excellent customer service. In the past, I've also used them for tech support to help diagnose problems. A link to their website is included below.
Eriksson also has parts available, and no order is too small (it says so on their invoices!), and I've found it to be true.
In regards to the springs, specifically the A accumulator spring, it is actually not that hard. Remove battery and tray, remove valve body cover, undo valve body, loosen spring cover, replace--put it all back together.
