On my 98 CSE they can be identified because they both have square female fittings. The first time I tried to budge them I could not do it with a breaker bar. Had to whack each with a cold chisel and two pound sledge. They must have been installed by robots. My 98 CSE calls for Saab Synthetic use only. Is there any difference between the 97 and 98 transmisions. My mechanic of last resort says that its a good idea to change the fluid every 50,000 miles even if it is not called for.
