both bottom sprockets since teeth look shiny and sharp.
The light dent on piston 1 are evident, much less on remaing piston. All valve seem to close fine (visual inspection).
What is a good test for good seal at the valve ?
I plan to:
-put the head upside down on flat surface
-close all valves on at least 1-4 or 2-3 by turning the cam shaft
-leave the spark plug on
-fill the valve area with ATF fluid
-check if ATF goes pass the valve on the other side
What does a machine shop do to a head ? Machine the flat gasket area ?
I have another head form a similar engine that blew a hole in piston (coolant damage or shut wastegate).
The car is old and don't want to spend $$$$.
Thanks!
