It looks like you did things with the best possible of all situations. I do all of my work in the parking area behind the apartment building, and it's gravel. Not the best surface, and weather dependent. I also have to pack up all my tools and jacks and put 'em away.

I've removed and replaced both automatic and manual transmissions in 9000's, but never did the conversion. I'm not so sure that I would undertake such an enterprise, at least in my current situation.

Did you have help? I know I did a clutch with help, and it was so much faster with an assistant than all by myself.

The only part of your description that I'd take issue with is the amount of time for putting in the manual transmission. I'm not saying that someone couldn't do it in 15 minutes, but I've never been able to do it that quickly. Especially the last time--I had a bear of a time getting all the splines to line up so that the transmission would slide home.

But the bottom line is that those who did the job finished it, and can enjoy the cars.
